Over the last few weeks we've featured Maggie Smothers, Alexis Munlin, and Dania Lane. Today is our final spotlight in the series with Bekka Blankenhagen.
Meet Bekka Blankenhagen
Bekka lives just outside of Madison, Wisconsin with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends in her free time. Bekka is the Account Manager for North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
Tell us a little about your background, and how you came to ElderCounsel.
I came to ElderCounsel in a roundabout way. I've always loved traveling, so what better way to do that then by being a travel agent? I enjoyed touring other locations, but found it took me away from my family too much. I've always liked talking with people and finding different ways to help with any issue, so when a friend mentioned an opening with ElderCounsel, I jumped right in.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The opportunity to talk to members every day. I learn something new with every conversation. Sometimes it's a member sharing something exciting about what's going on in their life, a saying or analogy that is common in their state but something I've never heard before, or even something they discovered within ElderDocx that I didn't know.
What are you most excited about this year at ElderCounsel?
I’m excited about all the new additions that ElderCounsel has planned and I'm looking forward to sharing them with our members.
If you could give one piece of advice to new members, what would it be?
That they aren't alone in this. ElderCounsel has tons of resources available to assist with any and all questions and the Account Managers are a great starting point. There are members all over the United States that have been in their same shoes and they made it work, so you can too.
