Help your law firm get found on Facebook with Username

We all know it's important to have a Facebook business page created for your law firm but it's just as important to make sure you set it up properly so people are able to easily search and tag your business page. One way to do this is to make sure you've completed your "About" section in your business profile. Make sure your company has a Username and all other social media accounts linked.

(Not sure if you have a username? Go to your Facebook business page and you’ll see @yourbusinessname under your profile picture and name. If you don’t see this, you don’t have your username setup correctly.)

Having this section completed makes it easier for people to find your Business Page in search when it has a unique username. Pages with usernames can also create custom URLs that let people quickly visit and message them. (Best part...no more random numbers that were automatically generated by Facebook at the end of your URL!)

Word-of-mouth is key for marketing so you don't want to miss out on this opportunities of people being able to easily tag your business when they are raving about their experience at your law firm.

How do I set the username for my Facebook Business Page?

You'll need to be an admin  to change your Page's username. If you're an admin:

  1. Click About on the left side of your Page
  2. Click Edit next to your current Page username
  3. Enter a new username
  4. If the username is available and follows the guidelines for custom usernames, click Create Username
