ElderCounsel member Bentley Nettles recently retired as a commissioned officer after 31 years of service to our country in the United States Army. Over his military career, Colonel Nettles has been awarded 24 awards and badges including three Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart, and the Combat Action Badge. Colonel Nettles served as Infantry Officer, Judge Advocate Officer, Information Operations Officer and Red Team Leader in peacekeeping tours of duty in Bosnia, and combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was honored in March by the Hon. Bill Flores, Texas House of Representatives for his many contributions.
Bentley Nettles is a practicing estate planning and Veterans attorney at Nettles Law PLLC in Texas. He is a member of ElderCounsel and the National Guard Association of Texas. Bentley is licensed to practice in both Texas and Louisiana, and is a National Security Fellow of the Fletcher School of Law and International Diplomacy, TUFTS University.
